Provider Summaries
Cover-More
Requires an online medical assessment for all cancers (except non-melanoma skin cancer with no ongoing treatment). An additional premium typically applies when cancer cover is approved.
1Cover
Dedicated cancer assessment process with three possible outcomes: cover approved with additional premium, mandatory exclusion of cancer-related claims only (policy still valid for all other benefits), or unable to offer cover.
SCTI
Travellers with cancer must apply to have the condition covered as a pre-existing condition. A 3-year lookback period applies. If approved, an additional premium is charged. If not approved, the cancer is excluded but other cover remains.
World Nomads
Cancer must be declared and assessed — it is not among the 40 conditions that can be auto-covered. Travellers complete an online medical assessment. An additional premium typically applies if cover is approved.
Allianz
Cancer must be disclosed at the time of purchase. Cover is only extended if agreed in writing. Travellers receive a Certificate of Insurance or Medical Terms of Cover document confirming what cancer-related cover has been agreed.
Zoom
Cancer must be declared, agreed in writing, and an additional premium paid. Zoom uses an online medical assessment process to evaluate cancer cases individually.
AA Travel
Uses Cover-More's medical assessment system. All cancers except non-melanoma skin cancer (no ongoing treatment) must be declared and assessed. AA members receive a 10% discount on premiums.
